This week's Sunday Times looks at the concept of leadership, arguing that leaders today need to be flexbile in their approach in order to get the best out of their team. The article also focuses on our first Leadership grant recipient, Nick Nielsen of the charity Envision.
"It was a real honour to get the award," said Nielsen. "It's great for me personally but also because I think good leadership is a willingness to take responsibility for what you see around you, and that is probably going to be one of the most important factors in making the world a better place."
For Nick Nielsen, though, the key ingredient is inspiration. "Real leadership is the practice of channelling resources and giving other people the belief to act on the things they are inspired by," he said.
We couldn't agree more.
